I was on a cab this afternoon, with a colleague. About 12 minutes later, the cabby made a turn into the wrong exit so I simply told him he turned too early.
But my colleague, who wasn't sitting directly behind the cabby, told me that he had seen the cabby nodding off. I gathered he was ready to scold the cabby if he nodded off again. He also said, he saw that I wasn't wearing a seat belt.
If I had seen the cabby nodding off instead, I don't suppose I'd have been as calm as I was just now.
So upon alighting, I told the cabby, "Che', kalau Che' ngantuk, baik balik rumah tido kejap."
He replied, "Kalau saya balik nanti saya malas nak keluar lagi!"
I was rather horrified, but surprised myself by telling him that it'd be more dangerous if he didn't sleep at all (coz he'd risk knocking someone down!).
I hope he took my advice. Tsk tsk tsk. That was exactly the sound AH made when I narrated the incident. I bet he was more concerned about the safety of his junior than me though. You were, weren't ya? :D
