Simple Life of Us

A weekend to remember

I can see both of us sleeping away our next few hours. AH is already in dreamland, right after waking up from the night sleep at 1 pm! This is what happens when you spend many hours driving early morning & late at night keep AH company in case he catches a wink or two with no chattering once on Malaysian highways. I didn't drive, but I didn't sleep too as I needed to in a while. I guess that means I deserve some naps later on too.

I enjoyed the trip. Many things were cheap & converting whatever price you saw into 2 just makes you feel like you can afford almost everything. There's plenty of space (in & out of the malls) & parking is ridiculously cheap, at only RM$1 even for the biggest malls. And of course, halal food at every corner.

Memorable moments?

Stopping by a road-side stall set up in front of a house & chomping down on pisang goreng & keropok lekor. It was prolly the most sedap & murah keropok lekor I've ever tasted. If the ones in S'pore are thin & expensive (4 pieces for $1, not expensive enough?!), we bought a bag of fat, juicy keropok lekors for only RM$1 - all piping hot, straight from the wok! I brushed off the guilt of having zits, for the momentary pleasure of biting into a keropok lekor.
Kedai kropok lekor sedap :D

The hotel we stayed in, that's another "memorable" event. Let's just say, there are some things money can't buy. But for everything else, like comfort & clean sheets in a hotel, there's mastercard :D

Well at the end of the trip, alhamdulillah everyone's happy & safe. AH is happy coz he got to know how petrol-efficient his SUV is. I'm happy coz I survived a road trip with his family.

For now, it's back to everything mahal & segala benda pun kena keluar $ place - this place we call home. And of course, back to work also laaaa....
